When did I get too old to "do" Walmart?  A couple hours for the shopping this evening, and I am absolutely exhausted....

On the KEWL side of things, there was a HUGE bald eagle riding the thermals above our ridge this evening.  He was beautiful, and he did not eat my dog.  :-)

i swear, its the lights in there. uncovered flourescents give you UVA and UVB rays, and if you cant tolerate direct sunlight too well, they can mess you up. walmart seems to be particularly bad about this.

the walmart nearest to us is remodelling the damn store. "to serve you better!" no, to make things even MORE difficult to find, as you're turning the aisles every which way and trying to make the place look upscale and boutique-y. its a freaking walmart. accept your white-trashedness, keep the freaking LANES open (i mean, you have people standing six deep in the checkout lanes. open a new one. there are only SIX open in the whole store!!!!!).

sorry, walmart gives me hives. ;)

Hmmm. I don't know, I LIKE being in sunlight (just can't stay there too long, or my transparent Irish skin bursts into flames!) Seems to me something about the floors in the Walmart here - they seem "ache-ee-er" than anywhere else in town. Alas, though, here for pretty much every everyday thing you need, you go to Walmart or you drive 3 hours to a mall in another state...

Know what you mean about the lines, though. When we checked out yesterday, out of 30-some checkout stands, about half a dozen were open, and 3 of those were 20-or-less lines, Sigh...

But the eagle was still way way kewl.
