Jun. 24th, 2009 @ 11:48 pm Yay! Stitching!
Current Mood: accomplished
     Tink is now on a schedule that gives Mommy time to do something besides feed/clean/play with Tink;
in fact, she spent the evening in the bedroom helping Daddy play Playstation, and Mommy got to sit and stitch!  The first blackwork band is done....

I love the yellow gold colors in it. It's so intricate!

Thanks! I'm being sparing with the metallic gold, just enough to sparkle in the candlelight, but that topaz-y color picks up the color in our altar cloths and the priest's vestments almost exactly. I can't wait to see this finished and in place.

And I forgot to say, the blackwork pattern can be found in "New Carolingian Modelbook"....

Thanks! I'm enjoying this piece. Since it's a band style, no one pattern (except the center panel, argh argh argh) is "long" enough to cause my short attention span to fray... :-)
